From a conversation at the TKD to a future-proof E-PTO solution
What started with a good conversation during the TKD 2025 in Sint-Oedenrode, resulted in a beautiful project: the installation of a E-PTO on a Stas tipper trailer.
By placing the E-PTO on the trailer, it has a own hydraulic drive and is completely independent of the towing vehicle. While driving, the E-PTO battery pack is charged via the 24V system of the tractor recharged.
The major advantage? The tractor no longer needs to be equipped with a PTO or hydraulic system. As a result, the trailer can be used seamlessly behind various tractors, regardless of the drive technology: diesel, gas, electric or hydrogen.
This creates a flexible and future-oriented solution whereby tractor and trailer can be used independently of each other. Practically applicable today and ready for the drive technologies of tomorrow.
