Boskalis has been deploying electric vehicles where possible for several years and continues to actively seek new opportunities to make its equipment more sustainable.
We therefore had the honor to provide Boskalis with a Electro-mechanical PTO with integrated hydraulics Wetkit to build on a special new combination: a Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 with Schwarzmüller tipper.
With the Wetkit, the tipper's hydraulics are fully electrically powered by the truck's high-voltage battery. As a result, a conventional PTO drive is not required, and the drive system of the bodywork also integrates seamlessly with the fully electric vehicle.
A fine example of how electrification does not stop at the truck's powertrain, but is also extended to the bodywork and the tasks for which the vehicle is used daily.
