This electro-mechanical PTO is the EV alternative to the engine/gearbox PTO as used on diesel trucks. The unit is powered by the high-voltage battery of the EV truck and is equipped with a DIN 5462 pump connection.
With a mounted hydraulic pump, it feeds the hydraulic truck body:
Truck-mounted crane
Kipper or Walkingfloor
Hook arm or Portal arm
Side loader and press
Etc.
Due to the high torque of the electric motor, operation at low speed is possible, which enables low noise levels.
The unit is mounted on the truck as a single unit, either behind the cab or on the chassis. Integration with the truck's cooling system is not necessary. The E-PTO is equipped with its own cooling system.
